Operating SOP

1. Pre-operation checklist

• Teflon belt inspected — no discolouration or tears (replace if >10% width affected)
• Temperature set for this pouch laminate
• Conveyor belt tension checked
• 5-minute warm-up before first pouch

2. Start-up procedure

1. Switch on — 5 min warm-up
2. Run test pouch — pull seal firmly — must not open without tearing laminate

3. Operating steps / parameters

2. Run test pouch — pull seal firmly — must not open without tearing laminate
3. Begin production — continuous feed — maintain spacing between pouches — do not overlap
4. Check seal every 25 pouches — press firmly 5 seconds
5. Switch off when batch complete — allow to cool

5. Cleaning / sanitation

• Wipe Teflon belt with DRY cloth only
• Log: product | pouch type | temperature setting | pouch count | seal quality observation

6. Safety / PPE

• SEALING BAR REACHES 180°C — never touch during or after operation
• 10 min cool-down before cleaning

7. Troubleshooting

Seal quality inconsistent | Teflon belt brown across >10% width — REPLACE BELT immediately. Do not continue — seals will fail in storage.

8. Preventive maintenance

Routine prevention is embedded in the pre-operation and post-operation checks; no separate time-based preventive-maintenance interval is stated on the source card.
