Operating SOP

1. Pre-operation checklist

• LEV (exhaust fan) switched ON — must run BEFORE machine starts
• Correct sieve mesh selected and locked
• PPE ON before approaching machine
• No residue from previous spice variety — full clean required

2. Start-up procedure

1. Switch on LEV first
2. Switch on pulveriser — allow 15 sec to reach speed

3. Operating steps / parameters

1. Switch on LEV first
2. Switch on pulveriser — allow 15 sec to reach speed
3. Feed DRY spices steadily — rated 35 kg/hr
4. Monitor output fineness — sample every 20 min
5. Cool-down after every 1 hour continuous operation — 15 min rest
6. Run empty 2 min before switching off

4. Shutdown procedure

6. Run empty 2 min before switching off

5. Cleaning / sanitation

• Remove sieve — brush clean
• Wipe all surfaces with dry cloth
• If switching spice variety — FULL CLEAN before loading next — chilli residue in turmeric is a quality failure
• Log: spice variety | input weight | output weight | fineness check result

6. Safety / PPE

• PPE MANDATORY: N95 dust mask + safety goggles + gloves
• LEV must run throughout operation
• Chilli dust in eyes — immediate water wash
• DO NOT remove PPE until machine fully stopped and dust settled

7. Troubleshooting

Output fineness inconsistent (sieve damage) | Machine body hot after short run (bearing lubrication needed) — call supervisor

8. Preventive maintenance

Routine prevention is embedded in the pre-operation and post-operation checks; no separate time-based preventive-maintenance interval is stated on the source card.
