Operating SOP

1. Pre-operation checklist

• SS304 blades inspected — must be SHARP — dull blades crush not slice
• Safety guard in place and LOCKED — non-negotiable
• Blade set correct for required slice thickness
• No previous produce residue on blades

2. Start-up procedure

1. Set correct blade for slice thickness
2. Switch on — allow to reach full speed (5 seconds)

3. Operating steps / parameters

1. Set correct blade for slice thickness
2. Switch on — allow to reach full speed (5 seconds)
3. Feed produce through guide STEADILY — do not force
4. HANDS must remain BEHIND the feed guide at ALL TIMES
5. Check slice uniformity — all slices within ±1mm of target thickness
6. When batch complete — switch off — wait for FULL STOP before approaching blades

4. Shutdown procedure

6. When batch complete — switch off — wait for FULL STOP before approaching blades

5. Cleaning / sanitation

• Detach blade set
• Wash blades in clean water
• DRY IMMEDIATELY — SS304 blades will rust at cut edges if left wet
• Reassemble and lock guard
• Log: produce type | thickness set | quantity sliced

6. Safety / PPE

• BLADE GUARD IS MANDATORY — NO EXCEPTION
• Never reach toward blade while running or slowing
• Blades are EXTREMELY SHARP even when stationary

7. Troubleshooting

Blades chipped or pitting visible — REPLACE IMMEDIATELY | Slices showing crushing or tearing rather than clean cuts — sharpen

8. Preventive maintenance

Routine prevention is embedded in the pre-operation and post-operation checks; no separate time-based preventive-maintenance interval is stated on the source card.
