Operating SOP

1. Pre-operation checklist

• Gearbox oil level checked
• Oil contact parts (SS304) clean and dry
• Oil collection tray in place and empty
• Kernels DRY — moisture above 8% reduces yield
• Machine at ambient temperature — not hot from previous session

2. Start-up procedure

1. PREHEAT RUN: feed 500g kernels first — DISCARD output (clears residue)
2. Begin production — steady continuous feed

3. Operating steps / parameters

1. PREHEAT RUN: feed 500g kernels first — DISCARD output (clears residue)
2. Begin production — steady continuous feed
3. Monitor oil flow — steady golden stream
4. MONITOR TEMPERATURE: must stay BELOW 45°C — this is cold pressed quality guarantee
5. If temp exceeds 45°C — REDUCE FEED RATE — allow 10 min cool before continuing
6. Clear oil cake discharge regularly — buildup causes back pressure
7. Switch off when batch complete — run 200g kernels to purge

4. Shutdown procedure

7. Switch off when batch complete — run 200g kernels to purge

5. Cleaning / sanitation

• Wipe all SS304 oil contact surfaces with food-grade cloth — NO WATER (causes rancidity in next batch)
• Log: kernel input | oil output | oil cake weight | exit temp observed | quality observation

6. Safety / PPE

• Do NOT touch pressing chamber during operation — extreme mechanical pressure
• Oil cake is HOT when discharged — allow to cool before handling

7. Troubleshooting

Gearbox oil below minimum (top up immediately) | Oil yield below 35% (inspect pressing screw) | Metallic noise (STOP — call supervisor)

8. Preventive maintenance

Routine prevention is embedded in the pre-operation and post-operation checks; no separate time-based preventive-maintenance interval is stated on the source card.
